Pool repair & leak detection
Something wrong?
We'll find it.
Pool problems aren't always obvious. Whether it's a pump that won't run right or a pool that keeps losing water, our technicians diagnose the system, identify the issue and recommend the appropriate repair.
Pool leak detection
Pool leak detection in
Sacramento & Folsom.
A pool that keeps dropping water isn't always leaking. Evaporation, splash-out and backwashing all add up, and in a dry Sacramento summer they add up fast. The first job is proving where the water is actually going — then finding the exact spot instead of guessing at it.
01
Prove it's a leak
We track the water level over a few days and compare it to what evaporation, splash-out and backwashing would account for. A surprising number of suspected leaks aren't leaks at all.
02
Check the visible stuff first
Equipment pad, fittings, valve seals, light niches and returns — most water loss starts somewhere you can actually see once you know where to look.
03
Isolate the plumbing
When the loss isn't at the pad, we test the lines one at a time to work out which one is letting go, instead of guessing and digging.
04
Tell you what the fix is
You get a clear answer: where the water is going, what it will take to fix, and whether it's worth doing now or can wait.
Signs it's worth calling about
- Water level dropping faster than the weather explains
- The pump losing prime or air in the lines
- Wet soil, sinking turf or a new low spot near the pool
- Chemical levels that never hold steady
- Topping up the pool more than once a week
- A water bill that doesn't make sense
Frequently asked
How do I know if my pool is leaking or just evaporating?
In this part of California, evaporation takes more water than most people expect, especially in a hot, dry, windy stretch. If the level keeps dropping while the pool sits unused and uncovered, that points to a leak. Mark the waterline and check it again after a day or two without swimming or backwashing — that alone tells you a lot.
Where do pool leaks usually come from?
Most often the equipment pad — a weeping fitting, a valve seal or a drain plug — or a pressure and suction line that has cracked or shifted with ground movement. Light niches, skimmer throats and the shell itself are the usual suspects when the pad checks out.
Is a leak check part of my weekly service?
No — leak detection is quoted separately from weekly service, and you'll know the cost before any work starts. If the pool is already on a plan with us and you're losing water, call and we'll take a look.
